A lovely, antique propelling pen and/or pencil, hammered to resemble carved wood. A warm russet colour. The patina is just incredible. I have yet to date it precisely, but there are many Victorian examples, (likely 1880-1890's). Silver-plated ends. 9 cm long, it has a good solid weight. One cap end is removable to store nibs and pencil leads. The body is a spiralling, concentric roll resembling a narwhal tusk.
This will likely become part of my 'writer's' series. The hollow pendant could contain...words...a text...? But which writer, which work...?
